ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kelly Lidji crawled out of the fog-drenched woods of Lower Slower Delaware with a notebook in one hand and a deeply questionable relationship with ghosts in the other. She does not believe in writer’s block - only in spirits who refuse to cooperate.

Best known for The Haunting Clarity series and Maggie Mumford’s Monsters, Lidji spends her time weaving together timelines, summoning restless entities, and asking emotionally devastating “what if” questions no sane person would entertain for fun. Her stories are filled with haunted landscapes, morally complicated spirits, and children who are frankly handling things better than most adults would.

Local legend suggests she can’t walk past a patch of woods without wondering who died there, and she firmly believes every old house has something to say - whether it should or not. She writes the kind of books that make you double-check locked doors, side-eye the dark, and question whether that sound upstairs was really “just the house settling.”

She is fueled by caffeine, coastal storms, and the persistent suspicion that some stories don’t want to stay buried—and she’s more than willing to dig them up anyway.
